Lynn
Brice Rosen's studies at the Interlochen Arts Academy and
the University of Utah provided her with the skills
necessary to introduce concepts to new audiences.
After moving to the metropolitan Washington area she joined the dance
department at the University of Maryland/College Park. She also became
a member of the Cultural Enrichment Program at Wolf Trap. Later on,
she produced children's theater at the Smithsonian Institution's Discovery
Theater. Once again, she had the opportunity to develop and participate
in outreach programs to groups of
all ages, interests, and abilities.
Her training in the Alexander
Technique took place in Israel. By 1991, she completed the 1600-hour
STAT-certified program under the direction of Shaike Hermelin.
She is a trainee of Kevin McEvenue's Wholebody Focusing. FM Alexander's inner-directed movement, and Focusing's process of inner-listening, enhance and enrich each other through Wholebody Focusing.
Lynn Brice Rosen, now a member of AmSAT and the Focusing Institute, has
established practices in Santa Fe, NM and Washington,
D.C. Her private lessons are combined
with group work, and programs designed
for special interest groups. She
introduces her students to new ways of moving, and new ways of being.
She guides them through a dynamic process of thinking and moving so
that they, too, can arrive at balance, poise, and ease. Due to the Alexander Technique and Whole Body Focusing she has remained pain-free since 1983.
