Ease, Strength

Over a lifetime, poor postural habits and reflexive patterns create issues which affect our comfort in everything that we do. Structural imbalances we were born with increase through the life experiences which come in 30, 40, 50, 60 years. Injuries and illnesses, plus the pressures and obligations of becoming mature adults, often lead to situations of pain or discomfort.

However, living with chronic discomfort or pain is not an automatic aspect of aging. Moving with dignity and power is possible regardless of our age or conditions.

When an Alexander Technique teacher guides your head and back into a new relationship, your balance suddenly changes. Your skull begins to rest more gently on the top of your spine. Your face softens, your back lengthens and widens. Gradually your legs and arms become unburdened. Your center becomes more secure.

By learning to respond in this new way, you can begin to regain your equilibrium. Over time, life's activities will become easier and more natural. You will be able to remain in the moment, making it possible to be in coexistence with the difficulties of the present without compromising your health and sense of self.
