It is viewed that low self-esteem is a common problem nowadays. Eventually, there are some days when viewing one’s appearance in the mirror is not an ideal thought. There are also bad times when random strangers says something horrible (fat shames) about a picture you posted in a certain social media account. Bad days like these are normal occurrences in people’s life. Modern day, partnered with the existence of social media, has pressures that nobody can avoid. However, for some people, living with low self-esteem is how things are done and going. After hearing or reading the negative feedbacks, some people bounce back to their normal lives; but in some cases, others dwell on that feeling of disapproval. Later, every day will become a string of negative comments about everything they’re doing in their lives – from doing an activity to the people around them.
Self-hate is poisonous – it eats you inside. It not only ruins relationships with family and friends, but is also limits your potentiality. Confidence is one of the best things to have in your life, so driving up the confidence level is essential. Confident men and women can apply to any job they prefer without hesitation. In terms of relationships, confident people can adjust well to their partners.
However, it’s a different version for people struggling with low self-esteem. They are likely to form bonds with an abusive person and stay in low income jobs. Indeed, low self-esteem pushes more problems. The life they’re living is not filled with happiness.
Reasons behind Low Self-Esteem
There are numerous reasons for people having low self-esteem. Abusive parents, traumatic accidents and experiences can lead to people having low self-esteem. Instability in aspects in life can also lead to low self-esteem, and sometimes, it can even cause self-blame. Strengthening your self-esteem is one of the most efficient way to eliminate the bad vibes and self-destruction you feel around you. Learning how to boost your confidence is one way to change the path you are taking.
Things just don’t happen overnight, it needs time and effort. You should start by analyzing yourself to see where the problem is settling in. Are you having problems about criticisms brought by friends and strangers or is it about wanting to maintain a figure you want? Most people with low self-esteem want to please the people around them. Taking on other people’s concerns and not on one’s self is not a good practice. If you are familiar to this situation, changes should be happening now.
You are a Unique Cupcake!
Before you do anything in the morning, take deep breaths and reflect on the fact that you are alive at that very moment. Reflect on the idea of being alive and that you are amazing. If your brain begins making up negative things, spin that around and change it into something positive. If you are feeling beat out, start walking or exercising to remove that bad vibes. Everybody has bad days and sad moments, but it should not be the center of everything. Remember to be kind to yourself and that somebody cares and loves you a lot.
