"The soul is not
really united
unless all the
bodily energies,
all the limbs
of the body,
are united."

Art in Movement
is an exploration in discovering stillness,
of finding ourselves in a state of poise
and using this as a means of expression. It comes from the delicate
interplay of movement and intention. It is the grace that results
from the balance of freedom and control.
It is poise, clarity, equilibrium, stability. It is pleasure in
the way of being.
Quality of movement, and even of thinking, affects outcomes. When
we try too hard we "choke". We literally lose balance
and often pay a serious price. But when inner and outer balance
mirror each other, hard work can be transformed. True
freedom and power derive from this balanced whole.
Learning to work in this way leads to a familiarity with the
state of "flow". Moving with greater ease
and acomplishment liberates, whether golfing, playing music, or
standing before an audience. It becomes possible to connect more
frequently with the deep, internal place from which comes the
magic - the reason we do the things we care about passionately.
